Privacy policy
This page explains what Las Vegas Vacation Rental Rules collects when you use it, why, who else sees it, and how to have it deleted. Plain language, no dark patterns.
The site is operated by EZ Arba LLC, doing business as 5 Star STR, a vacation rental management company in Las Vegas, Nevada. Effective August 18, 2026.
What we collect
| The address you type | Every address check is recorded with the resolved jurisdiction, the result, a timestamp and the page that referred you. We use it to spot bad results, measure demand by area, and improve the data. |

We do not ask for and do not want government identifiers, financial account numbers, or documents. Please do not send them through this site.
Something to know before you type an address
When you check an address, that address is sent to third-party government and mapping services so it can be located: the United States Census Bureau geocoder, the OpenStreetMap Nominatim service as a fallback, and the Clark County GIS zoning service. They receive the address text. They do not receive your name, phone or email, because at that point we do not have them.
Separately, when a search returns an address that appears eligible, our office receives an internal notification containing that address and the result. It contains no contact details unless you submitted a form. We are telling you this here because the page itself does not.
Why we use it
- To answer your check and show you the rules that apply.
- To reply to you when you ask us to, including by phone, text and email where you gave consent on the form. Consent to be contacted is never a condition of using the free tool.
- To find and fix wrong results, and to decide which areas and rules to research next.
- To protect the site from automated abuse.
Who else sees it
- Netlify hosts the site, stores form submissions and search records.
- Google provides Analytics, and delivers our email through Gmail.
- Green API delivers WhatsApp messages when you ask for your result by text.
- The geocoding and GIS services named above receive the address you type.
- Our own team at 5 Star STR, to follow up on requests.
- If you tell us a real estate agent represents you, we route follow-up through that agent. That is the Agent-Safe Pledge, and it means your agent may see that you contacted us.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We have never done so. If that ever changes we will say so here first and offer an opt-out before it takes effect. Under Nevada law (NRS 603A.340) you may direct us not to sell any covered information at any time by writing to the request address below, and we will confirm within 60 days.
How long we keep it
- Address search records: about 24 months, then deleted.
- Form submissions and leads: until you ask us to delete them, or until they are clearly stale.
- Analytics: per Google's retention setting, currently 14 months.
Your choices
Write to office@5starstr.com or call 702-887-1099 and ask us to show you what we hold, correct it, delete it, stop contacting you, or not sell your information. We will act on it. There is no form to fill in and no account to create. If you are in California, the same request covers your rights to know, delete, correct and opt out, and we will not treat you differently for asking.
To stop analytics entirely, use your browser's do-not-track or an ad blocker, or Google's opt-out add-on. The address checker works fine without analytics.
Children
This is a tool for property owners, buyers and agents. It is not directed to anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Security, honestly stated
The site runs over HTTPS, limits automated requests, and the data we hold is contact details and address searches rather than payment or identity documents. No internet service can promise perfect security, and we are not going to pretend otherwise.
Changes
If we change what we collect, we update this page and the effective date at the top. Material changes will be described here rather than slipped in.

The rules on this page apply to a whole city. Whether one parcel qualifies depends on its distance to the nearest licensed rental and to the nearest resort - we measure both against the official parcel data.
